There ARE Raw Food Recipes That Will Satisfy YOUR Cravings!
Cravings are something that you struggle with in any diet. Finding a way to satisfy them while maintaining your new healthy lifestyle is vital! When I first started experimenting with raw food recipes, I started by trying a variety of recipes that I found on the Internet. It's free and the number of raw food sites and blogs with great recipes are increasing by the day! I loved collecting the free recipes, but soon decided to buy a couple of actual hard cover raw food recipe books (I'm a book person). I now still print the free ones, but I also have a huge collection of books. It's kind of addicting!
I'm a person who loves salty foods, so finding a good cracker or chip recipe was essential! My first chip recipe was spicy tortilla chips! Yum-O (As Rachel Ray would say!). These delicious chips have corn, flaxseed, habanero peppers, and other yummy, fresh RAW ingredients. They taste great dipped in something as simple as guacamole dip
or something more time consuming like smoky cheese dip.
I have both a blender and a juicer, so I had fun trying out different flavors of smoothies and juices. If you're trying to get your kid to join in, this is one of the easiest ways to start! Experiment with different foods!I tried some easy and some more difficult to make raw salads, main dishes, and desserts. If you like to "cook", it's fun experimenting with some of the more time consuming dishes. If not, there are tons of simple ones too!
The simplest "recipe"... Just pick up a piece of fruit!Satisfying your hunger is probably one of the most important things in any diet. If you aren't satisfied, you're more likely to stray from the diet and eat something you shouldn’t. It's vital to find foods that satisfy your cravings. You're waaaaay less likely fail! Eat guilt free!You're obviously not going to like every raw food dish that you try. Just like with any other recipe, you keep the ones you like and toss the ones you don’t. Even if you try just two or three a week, you’ll have a handful of ones to choose from in no time. Remember... these are meals that you can eat GUILT FREE! That’s what I love about this diet or "lifestyle". My body is actually getting nourishment from that tasty little snack, not just a bunch of unwanted fat!
